 Special Programs Manager



POSITION DESCRIPTION

· Position Title: Special Programs Manager

· Salary Range: TBD

· Division/Dept: China / Client Services

· Location: Beijing or Shanghai

· Hire Date: ASAP

· Reporting Relationship: Director of Client Services

 

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Special Programs Manager maintains and grows relationships with current and new customers, while achieving enrollment and budgetary goals. Reporting to TBD the Special Programs Manager is expected to retain existing business, while pursuing profitable growth opportunities with current and new B2B channel partners as well as through B2C strategies.

The Special Programs Manager is responsible for promoting and supporting ELS’s complete special program offerings (including but not exclusive to the USA). Focusing on customers with high-value, strategic growth opportunity, the Special Programs Manager’s most important customer interactions are face to face.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Retain and profitably grow ELS’s student volume through proactive customer management.

Penetrate accounts by:

· Selling new or additional products or services to current customers;

· Finding additional customers within the existing customer location;

· Selling additional customer locations

Grow beyond current channel partners to include un-penetrated B2B & B2C channels.

Sell ELS’s complete offerings and services.

Lead all aspects of the sales process, calling upon others to assist in solution development and proposal delivery, as needed, or as directed by management.

Develop customer account plan by leading joint company/customer planning processes that identifies relevant customer needs, prioritize initiatives and company investments and establishes a clear action plan for success.

Proactively manages customers’ satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating potential service problems and monitoring satisfaction.

Act as Special Programs advisor for new product development.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

• Achieve assigned enrollment targets.

• Meet assigned budgetary expectations.

• Establish plans that address the company’s objectives.

• Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.

• Complete required trainings and development objectives within assigned time frame.

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

• Reports to TBD

• Enlists the support of client services, marketing and other departmental resources as required

QUALIFICATIONS/RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree a plus

• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in education, enrollment, B2B and B2C channel management and customer service

• Prior record of success in promoting summer and short term programs

• Excellent written and oral Mandarin and English skills

• Willingness to work a variable schedule including weekends

• Creative and proactive

• Teamwork spirit

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and troubleshoot complex issues while working in a fast-paced environment

• PC proficiency

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• This position requires significant travel (70%+) throughout China, occasional international travel

• Also requires periods of telephone-intensive work and may require sitting for long periods of time
